Design actions without land consumption are increasingly an international priority, and are largely focused on giving effective responses to the phenomena of technical, energy and functional obsolescence that distinguish the large existing residential stock created with industrialized and prefabricated technologies. In this context, the areas of contemporary technological research are aimed at identifying innovative solutions that are both sustainable, convenient, shared and interoperable, and account for the multidimensionality of the contemporary project. Its management will be made possible only through a holistic vision of the entire transformation process and thanks to the support of new intelligent technologies.
The technological innovations that accompany the construction industry today envisage a new season of development of industrialized construction systems, also characterized by renewed prefabrication processes. They are flanked by the development of web platforms and smart solutions for integrated land management and the achievement of higher quality standards in living and production. Technologies for the redevelopment which, supported by projects, constructive experiences and international research, document the main aspects of a new approach to planning and intervention in the city of today and tomorrow, and indicate processuality and industrial strategies of a dramatically called building market to renew itself.
